The Dup15q Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with Dup15q syndrome, used virtual events to increase participation and engagement with their cause. They organized a flexible virtual event with different activities that allowed participants to engage in the event according to their preferences and availability. The event included a virtual walk, a virtual auction, and a live-streamed program. To promote the event, the organization used various digital marketing strategies, including social media, email marketing, and personal outreach to their supporters. The Dup15q Alliance, with the help of Bonterra Donor Engagement’s Guided Fundraising solution (formerly Network for Good), succeeded in expanding participation in their event and engaging their supporters, raising $160,000 to support their purpose.
