Adding Filters to Aliases

Understand how filters work with aliases in your reports.

Audience: Admins

Building upon the understanding of the Alias feature, this webinar explores how administrators can further refine their Apricot reporting by applying filters to the Alias sections. The presenter explains that filters provide an additional layer of data manipulation, allowing users to narrow down the records displayed based on specific criteria, such as date ranges or field values. Administrators can choose to apply filters directly to the limited Alias data or to the full data set before the Limit is applied, providing flexibility in how the final report output is structured.

The webinar demonstrates a use case where an administrator wants to analyze a participant's happiness assessment scores over time, but only for assessments completed within the current year. By adding a filter to the Alias section, the presenter shows how the administrator can restrict the data pool to only include the relevant records, while still benefiting from the Alias functionality to compare the pre, mid, and post assessment scores. The presenter also highlights the ability to unlock the filter parameters, empowering end-users to adjust the date range without requiring administrative intervention. Throughout the session, the speaker emphasizes the importance of thoroughly testing the report configuration to ensure the filtered Alias data is accurately reflected.
