Managing Inventory in Apricot: Beds/Rooms, Item Borrowing and Distribution

Learn how to use Apricot's new Inventory feature for managing physical resources.

Audience: Admins

Apricot's new inventory management feature is designed to help organizations track physical resources that participants can use, borrow, and take. This feature is specifically tailored for organizations that offer physical items, such as beds, rooms, technology, or non-returnable items like clothing and food, to their community. The inventory management system includes a dashboard for key insights and reporting capabilities, allowing organizations to see what is available, what has been distributed, and who has received the items.

The inventory management feature in Apricot has four key steps: configuring the feature by selecting the recipient tier, creating categories to organize the items, adding individual items for tracking, and then distributing the items to the population. The system allows for managing returns, updating quantities, and generating reports. This feature is currently available to Apricot 360 or Apricot Enterprise customers, with reporting capabilities limited to US-based customers. The inventory management system is focused on tracking outgoing distributions, rather than detailed tracking of incoming donations or items.
