Alert Extension

An overview of the Alert extension pack functionality, its implementation methodology, and key client considerations.

This video provides a comprehensive overview of the Alert extension pack available through Bonterra's CyberGrants platform. The Alert functionality gives users real-time visibility into potential issues or non-compliance with established business rules by displaying on-screen messages when certain conditions are not met during transactions. The system supports both "soft" alerts (informational) and "hard" alerts (process-blocking) and evaluates different record types including Organizations, Grant Requests, Employee Giving Requests, and Employee Giving Nominations using predetermined "Critical Evaluations" that trigger alerts through a TRUE/FALSE logic system. The video emphasizes that alerts are for internal use only with hard-coded messages rather than dynamic content.

To implement this extension pack, define your program's specific conditions that trigger alerts for different transaction types in collaboration with the Implementation team. Program administrators should actively participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and approve all changes before production implementation. If you are interested in adding this extension pack to your CyberGrants implementation or have any further questions after viewing the video, please contact your assigned Project Manager for support.
