Courtney Browne

Chief Legal Officer

Courtney Browne is the chief legal officer of Bonterra—a social good software company focused on powering those who power social impact with donor engagement, supporter engagement, program management, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) tech solutions.

Courtney is an experienced legal practitioner dedicated to utilizing her fine-tuned skills and exceptional experience to enable Bonterra to build a best-in-class legal function to support its critical work within the social good sector. Prior to Bonterra, Courtney was general council at TULA Skincare, a leading probiotic skincare and wellness brand. She launched her legal career at the New York office of the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP where she represented clients in mergers and acquisitions and other complex transactions, and throughout her tenure, she has advised organizations across industry sectors and practice areas, including consumer goods, technology, nonprofits, intellectual property, and corporate transactions. She lives in New York, NY, and holds a JD from Columbia Law School and a BA in Economics, Spanish, and Art History, from Vanderbilt University.
