Dionn Schaffner

Chief Diversity Officer

Dionn Schaffner is the chief diversity officer of Bonterra—a social good software company focused on powering those who power social impact with Case Management, Nonprofit Fundraising and Engagement, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) tech solutions.

Dionn’s focus will be on leveraging diversity as a source of strength, fostering an inclusive environment, promoting fairness through equity initiatives, and nurturing a sense of belonging within our organization. Her leadership will contribute to the ongoing cultivation of a corporate culture that acts as a powerful catalyst for positive impact, not only within our organization but also in the broader community.

With over 25 years of experience in software development, marketing strategy, and management consulting, Dionn brings a unique perspective to the DEIB industry. She integrates people, processes, technology, and teamwork to achieve impactful results. Passionate about breaking down barriers and creating opportunities, Dionn employs education, inspiration, and accountability as catalysts for organizational and societal change.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dionn’s career is deeply informed by her community work. She is the Executive Director of a nonprofit she founded and has held leadership roles in several non-profits in the child welfare sphere. Additionally, she provides political advice on anti-racism initiatives with state legislators. Dionn is immersed in driving positive change through her holistic approach to social impact. Recognized as a “Black Voice to Follow” on LinkedIn, she is a frequent speaker on equity issues.

Dionn is a graduate of Stanford University with a degree in Computer Science and an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. She currently resides in Austin, Texas actively engaging in the local musical theatre community. She is serving in her 15th year as Director and Choreographer for a non-profit youth musical theatre program.
