GE is the grandfather of gift matching. In 1954, the GE Foundation created the Corporate Alumni Program, the very first corporate matching gift program. Since the program’s inception, GE has matched more than $1.5 billion to nonprofits.
Now, more than 60 years later, the GE Foundation matches more than $39 million annually.
