In 2020, the onset of the ongoing global pandemic has presented numerous challenges and shifts for the philanthropic sector. The Giving Environment series, produced by researchers at the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, looks at pre-pandemic trends in charitable giving, understanding donor decisions in recent years, new models of giving such as subscription giving, and the growing significance of engaging donors.
